Soybean sales were near the upper end of expectations, with China as the lead buyer. But exports improved just slightly from last week’s paltry tally. New-crop soymeal sales were impressive, as were exports of the byproduct.
Wheat sales and exports were both near in line with the prior four-week average.
Cotton sales leapt 27% from the prior four-week average, with China accounting for nearly two-thirds of the business.
Beef exports sales were decent and near in line with last week’s tally, with Japan, South Korea and China topping the list of buyers. Pork sales jumped 12% from the prior four-week average, with Mexico accounting for nearly half the purchases.
