Bruce got his start in the agricultural markets as a wire service reporter covering the livestock and grain futures from the trading floors of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade. He’s since worked as a reporter and editor for Dow Jones Newswires, Reuters, Bloomberg, and Crain’s Chicago Business. As a journalist, Bruce has covered many critical components of global agriculture and the farm economy, including meat and grain processing, cash and futures markets, farm policy, food safety, food retailers, energy and biofuels and the USDA. Bruce grew up on his family’s farm outside Williamsburg, Iowa, and currently resides in Elmhurst, IL, outside Chicago with his wife and two daughters.
